Homeschool + Holiday Photography Workshops (Ages 10–17)

Hands-on studio classes capped at just 10 students for a true workshop feel. Students will learn real photography techniques, rotate between modeling and photographing, and explore creative concepts using professional lighting and sets. Each class explores a different concept with different take aways. See class descriptions below and let us know which you would like to reserve a spot for! Parents are welcome to stay and hang out or drop off + pick up their student at the studio. Class will take place from 10am-11:30am.

Tuition: $25/student or $35 with professional prints
Cameras provided if students don’t bring their own.

2026 Workshop Descriptions

⚫️ June 25 — Black & White + Spotlight Effects

“Create Dramatic Black & White Art With Light.”
This workshop lets students experiment with solid blacks and whites and all the grey in between. In this workshop we will explore how impactful black and whites can be in photography, how to balance them, and how to use contrast and the rule of thirds to create an image that people will never forget.

💨 August 27 — Freezing Motion & Motion Blur

“Capture Movement in the Most Creative Way.”
Students will learn two essential motion techniques: freezing action and creating beautiful, intentional motion blur. Using flowing skirts and fabrics, they’ll photograph dynamic movement — and experience how motion transforms an image.

✨ September 24 — Textures & Reflections

“Build a Set. Bend Reality.”
In this workshop, students will construct their own creative sets using recycled backdrop paper and reflective mylar. They’ll explore how textures and reflections can transform a simple portrait into something magical — including underwater-style reflections using mylar.

👻 October 29 — Fog, Color, & Spooky Light

“Master Spooky Lighting Just in Time for Halloween.”
Students will mix fog and colored lighting to create eerie, cinematic effects perfect for spooky season. They’ll experiment with atmosphere, shadows, and color to craft unforgettable Halloween-themed images inside a real studio.

🎨 November 26 — Color Theory & Emotion in Photography

“Choose Your Colors. Shape Your Story.”
Students will explore the basics of color theory and learn how different colors create different emotions in an image. They’ll choose from two backdrop color pairings and shoot a rip-through style set, creating bold, expressive portraits using purposeful color choices.
