Portfolio Builds
Hands-On Portfolio Builds for Photographers.
Our Portfolio Build events are designed to help photographers refresh and expand their body of work with intention and strategy. Each event features live models and families, giving you real subjects to photograph—not just still life scenes.
Every setup is strategically themed and timed so you’ll always be one step ahead in your marketing efforts. For example, a Fall Portfolio Build takes place months in advance, giving you fresh, on-brand content ready to promote your sessions well before the season begins.
These events are the perfect way to practice your craft, create new content for your website and social media, and stay creatively inspired—while connecting with other local photographers doing the same.

Step into our Editorial Portfolio Build at Studio Cay Collective — a creative experience designed for photographers of all levels who want to elevate their portfolios with imagery that stands out.
You’ll shoot on two curated designer sets: one filled with bold, vibrant color blocking and dynamic posing (wide-angle lenses recommended for those striking, editorial angles), and another crafted around high-contrast black-and-white lighting for dramatic impact. Both sets will feature professionally styled live models to bring your vision to life.
This is a limited-capacity event — just 8 photographers per time slot with three session times available. Don’t miss your chance to create standout editorial work in an inspiring studio environment.
